Robert C. Vaughn III, CCIM, is Chief Credit Risk Officer for Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, one of the nation's largest full-service commercial and multifamily mortgage banking firms. Grandbridge is a wholly owned subsidiary of BB&T and maintains 25 loan origination offices througout the country.

Mr. Vaughn is responsible for the balanced performance of the company's loan portfolio.He brings more than 21 years of commercial real estate experience to his new role. Prior to joining Grandbridge he served as a senior vice president with BB&T’s Charlotte, N.C., Asset Resolution Group as a member of the Commercial Real Estate Owned (CREO) team. In that role Vaughn managed an eight-state region focused on evaluating new assets, mitigating risk, determining and implementing strategy to maximize value and execute effective dispositions. Before joining BB&T Vaughn was a vice president and member of Grandbridge’s Charlotte loan origination team.

The Winston-Salem, N.C., native earned his master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s degree in political science from Davidson College. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a CCIM North Carolina State Board member, and a licensed North Carolina real estate broker.
