Douglas E. Bates, CCIM
Doug joined Grandbridge in 2008. As a vice president in our Mission Hills office, he's responsible for the origination of commercial and multifamily loans, and sourcing equity for real estate transactions. Doug has experience structuring transactions involving permanent financing (forward commitments and immediate fundings), construction/permanent financing, bridge and mezzanine loans and equity capital for a variety of asset types and structures, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, hospitality, self-storage, Historic Tax Credits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, seniors housing, student housing and manufactured housing. Capital sources include life insurance companies, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, banks and CMBS.
Prior to Grandbridge, Doug had 9 years of professional sales and management experience.
He earned his MBA in finance and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. He earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 2012.
Doug is an active member in various real estate organizations, including the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), CCIM and Urban Land Institute (ULI). He also serves on a number of local civic and charitable organizations, including Parkinson's Foundation of the Heartland, Tiger Club of Kansas City and LexiAbility, which provides resources for children and families dealing with dyslexia.
