Joseph P. Platt
Joseph began his career in commercial real estate finance in 1994. As a senior vice president with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital and office manager of the Kansas City Metro office, his primary responsibility is to originate debt and equity financing for private and public real estate owners through relationships with a variety of capital sources which include insurance companies, investment banks, governmental agencies, commercial banks and credit institutions.
Joseph has extensive experience in the origination, structuring, placement and closing of various real estate product types, including industrial, retail, multifamily, office, hospitality, medical office and seniors housing properties. Capital structures closed include permanent financing (both forward commitments and immediate fundings), mezzanine and equity placement, as well as bridge and construction financing.
Since joining Grandbridge’s Mission Hills office in 2004, Joseph has consistently been among the firm’s top producers. Prior to joining Grandbridge, he was a vice president with RBS Greenwich Capital in Chicago. In that capacity, he originated CMBS, interim, mezzanine and preferred equity transactions. Joseph began his career as an analyst with Baird & Warner Real Estate Capital (now Northmarq) in Chicago.
