Robert C. Vaughn III, CCIM
Rob is the senior credit risk officer for Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, one of the nation's largest full-service commercial and multifamily mortgage banking firms. Grandbridge is a wholly owned subsidiary of BB&T and maintains 21 loan origination offices throughout the country.
He's responsible for the balanced performance of the company's loan portfolio. He has been involved in commercial real estate since 1992.
Prior to joining Grandbridge, he served as a senior vice president with BB&T’s Asset Resolution Group as a member of the Commercial Real Estate Owned (CREO) team. In that role Rob managed an eight-state region focused on evaluating new assets, mitigating risk, determining and implementing strategy to maximize value and execute effective dispositions. Prior to his role in the Commercial Real Estate Owned team, Rob was a vice president and member of Grandbridge’s Charlotte loan origination team.
The Winston-Salem, NC, native earned his MBA from the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor degree in political science from Davidson College. He worked for Jones Lang LaSalle and Lincoln Harris in commercial real estate prior to joining Grandbridge. He holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, is a past president of the North Carolina CCIM Board of Directors, and is a licensed North Carolina real estate broker.
