Bill Toomey

Bill joined BB&T, now Truist, through the Leadership Development Program in June, 1999. He worked in Commercial Lending roles in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Richmond, Virginia. He also spent time in BB&T's Capital Markets area in Investment Banking in Richmond, Virginia. In 2008, he became the Baltimore City executive, and served in that role until October 2011 when he became the Baltimore Metro Regional president. In January 2013, Bill was given the opportunity to become the South Texas regional president to lead BB&T's expansion efforts in Houston, San Antonio and Austin.

He's a board member of the Kennedy Krieger Hospital Cystic Fibrosis of Central in Maryland.

Bill received his bachelor of science from Hampden-Sydney College and his MBA from the University of South Carolina's Moore School of Business.
