John M. Suhs

John manages the underwriting process for BB&T Real Estate Funding and assists in the group’s loan origination initiatives. As a respected real estate professional, John is experienced in evaluating bridge, construction and mezzanine financing opportunities across all major commercial property types and markets. With a focus on debt originations, underwriting and asset management, John has been involved in a wide range of real estate transactions aggregating more than $1 billion during his 23 years of real estate experience.

John earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois-Urbana, Champaign and his MBA from DePaul University.
